CBC Family and Friends,
Most would agree that we are living in turbulent times. The shifting tide of values and priorities has left our nation, our communities and even our families without a "rock to stand on". Very few people today could describe their life as "rock solid." Why is this so? Jesus answered that question very practically in Matthew 7:24-25 (NIV) when he said - "Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
For us to live rock solid we must be built on the right foundation. What is that foundation? Again, scripture is our guide. Paul is very specific about this is 1 Corinthains 3:11 (NIV) - "For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ." To live Rock Solid, our lives must be founded and grounded in Christ.
That's why I'm so excited to introduce to you a special sermon study, beginning August 6, 2017 I'm calling - "Living Rock Solid." This will be a study through one of the most inspiring and intriguing books of the Bible - the OT book of Daniel. Daniel is a tremendous example to people of all ages on how a life built on the rock can withstand unbelievable pressure and problems.
I encourage you to make plans to hear every message in this 8 part series and bring an unchurched friend with you to worship.
With A Shepherd's Heart,
